Met Gala 2020: Utilizadores de Instagram imitam famosas e arrasam

Apesar de o Met Gala não se ter realizado este ano, no Instagram foram várias as pessoas que recriaram os looks mais icónicos das celebridades.

Há vários anos que todas as primeiras segundas-feiras do mês de maio são marcadas pelo evento Met Gala. Este ano, o evento que deveria ter tido lugar no passado 4 de maio, não se realizou devido à pandemia do novo Coronavírus. Apesar de a cerimónia ter sido desmarcada, no Instagram, o cantor Billy Porter juntou-se à Vogue para lançar o desafio #MetGalaChallenge.

Este desafio consiste em os utilizadores do Instagram recriarem versões próprias dos looks mais icónicos que já passaram pela passadeira vermelha do evento em anos anteriores, e partilhá-los no Instagram com a hashtag #MetGalaChallenge.

Os vencedores do desafio, escolhidos pela equipa da Vogue e por Billy Porter, vão ter as suas fotos expostas nas contas do Instagram do Met Museum, do Met Costume Institute e da Vogue.

Várias pessoas aderiram à iniciativa e partilharam fotos divertidas e interessantes naquela rede social, com algumas crianças e animais de estimação a pousar como as celebridades.

Today was suppose to be the #metgala but because of covid #voguemagazine decided to do the #metgalachallenge . . If you know me then you know my obsession with Nina Dobrev and Zac Posen. I couldn't pass up @nina challenge to recreate this look. I decided to take a step back from my finals and have some fun. My look may not be the best, but it gave me an excuse to do my hair, my makeup, and shave my legs. Plus I saw this post last night and made it in a couple hours. . I used Saran Wrap, a slip, and a nude bra. Also I obviously don't have red bottoms, but my Jessica Simpsons don't look to bad. If you liked what I created, tag Nina Dobrev so maybe she can see.

Before pandemic PJs became the global uniform, there was this little thing called the Met Gala. Held on the first Monday in May, the Vogue-hosted soirée at the Metropolitan Museum is typically NYC’s most glamorous evening. Celebrities and fashion elites hit the red carpet in haute couture to kick off the Met Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. As with most big events, this year’s party, themed, “About Time: Fashion and Duration” and chaired by Meryl Streep, Emma Stone and Lin-Manuel Miranda, has been indefinitely postponed due to the coronavirus. But style fans aren’t resigning themselves to sweatpants. Around the globe, red-carpet obsessives have been participating in the #MetGalaChallenge. The dare — announced April 22 by Broadway actor and Met Gala knockout Billy Porter — has fashion lovers re-creating their favorite Gala get-ups with everyday materials from home and posting them on Instagram.
